Cheerleading May 2014

15 Cheerleaders. 1 Competition. On Thursday the 22nd March, lots of girls from Wimborne travelled to the Mountbatten Centre by minibus with Miss Hallissey. When we arrived we met up with our professional teachers Beth and Charlie, to practise our routine. After lots of patience, we sprinted onto the mats to begin. It was very scary at first but, we got used to it quickly! After the amazing dance, we had a massive group hug of happiness.

Shortly afterwards, we won the award for Best Stunting (lifting, throwing, co-ordination, etc.) It is now being shown off in the Trophy Cabinet! There were Primary Schools and Secondary Schools so it was a tough competition. After a whole month away from the excitement, we all gathered together for a few more weeks of cheerleading. Sadly, Charlie (one of our leaders) couldn’t be with us anymore as she had to work on her own cheerleading project.
